Our client who is into “Medical Equipment Distribution” is looking for a competent “Biomedical Engineer” to work in their Mauritius office immediately.

Job Description

• Collaborates with medical scientists to research the engineering aspects of biological systems of humans and animals.
• Researches and identifies new procedures, materials, energy sources, and other resources that may be used to improve or develop biomedical products and equipment.
• Designs and improves medical technology, which may include assistive devices such as artificial organs and prostheses.
• Designs and improves medical diagnostic and clinical instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Provides training to teach clinicians and other staff how to properly use the equipment.
• Provides technical support regarding biomedical equipment.

Job Requirements

• Age below 45 years. (Male)
• Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Biomedical Technology from a recognized technical college.
• Proven experience working within the field of biomedical engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of biology and biomechanical principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and scientific and medical computer software.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Sinhalese.
• Ability to follow confidentiality guidelines.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a team environment.
• Good organization, coordination & time management skills.
• Good problem-solving & negotiation skills.
